<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding apparatus for stacking inner page sheets sequentially supplied in a predetermined order to bind a book in a short time and efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The bookbinding apparatus 1 includes a stacking part 13, a feeding part 11, a switching part 12, and a switching control part. The stacking part 13 has an inner-page sheet storing region for storing the inner page sheets 4 formed of paper sheets in a stacked manner in the horizontal direction X. The feeding part 11 feeds each of the inner page sheets 4 to the stacking part 13. The switching part 12 is provided between the feeding part 11 and the stacking part 13. The switching part 12 switches a route of the inner page sheets 4 to be fed to the stacking part 13 from the feeding part 11 to either one of one side in the stacking direction of the inner page sheets stacked in the inner-page sheets storing region or the other side in the stacking direction.
