PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF GYPSUM IN SODA PRODUCTION

A process for preparation of gypsum in soda production is characterized in that from ammonium chloride solution ammonium chloride concentrate is produced by desalting, which is treated with sulphuric acid in the presence of manganese dioxide with preparation of chlorine and mother solution with sulphate salts of ammonium and manganese. The treatment of them with atmospheric oxygen in alkali medium results in the preparation of manganese dioxide, which is returned to the process. The ammonium sulphate solution is treated with carbonate raw material with returning of ammonia and carbon dioxide to the process and preparation of gypsum.
