<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron-emitting element which prevents a gate electrode and a focusing electrode from becoming same potential and desired electron beam diameter not being obtained, and of which the circuit structure can be made simple, a display device and an imaging device having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The display device 10 is provided with a cold cathode substrate 20 and an anode substrate 30, and the cold cathode substrate 20 has a substrate 21, a cathode bus bar 22, an insulating layer 23, a gate electrode 24, and a focusing electrode 25 formed in order on the substrate 21, an opening 26 and an emitter 27. The focusing electrode 25 is constructed of a silicon oxide film being a dielectric and, when electric charge is injected, it maintains the injected charge semipermanently and functions as an electret and has a taper shape of 45°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
