<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which enables a full color printing of high definition to be executed on a commercial printing paper, an image to be recorded which excels in blocking resistance, offset-proof quality and abrasion resistant printing quality, and accelerates recording. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method includes: an image recording process which discharges an ink composition by the inkjet method onto a recording medium which comprises at least one or more pigment layers applied at least one side of a supporting substrate comprising primarily of cellulose pulp with a transferred amount of pure water to the medium at 1 ml/m<SP>2</SP>or more and 15 ml/m<SP>2</SP>or less during contact time of 100 ms and a transferred amount of pure water to the medium at 2 ml/m<SP>2</SP>or more to 20 ml/m<SP>2</SP>or less during contact time of 400 ms, respectively measured by a dynamic scanning absorptiometer wherein the ink composition includes pigment as a coloring material, resin particles, water-soluble organic solvent, and water and the surface tension of the ink composition is 30 mN/m or more and 40 mN/m or less; and a heating process which heats the recorded image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
