<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a lamp driving device to detect even a minute abnormal discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp driving device is provided with a power source device, a transformer with a primary winding side connected to the power source device and a secondary winding side to lamps, a detection circuit connected to a secondary winding side of the transformer, equipped with capacitors and an impedance element connected in series with the capacitors, and further, connected in parallel with the lamps, and a protective means performing protective movement for the power source device against abnormal discharge based on potential differences generated at both ends of the impedance element contained in the detection circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
