The body has adjustable body parts e.g. bonnet and bumper, and an actuating element (6) for actuating the adjustment movement of the body parts. The actuating element is lockable in a pre-stressed position by contact of a locking bolt, where a screw (14) functions as the bolt. A screw thread is disengagable from a contact position at a gear rod (10) of the actuating element for releasing the adjustment movement. The rod is rotatable around longitudinal axis. A shaft (13) bearing the screw is drivable by a driveshaft (17), where an axle of the driveshaft crosses an axle of the shaft.
