<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small hinge for creating stable friction torque without giving aging effects to first and second casings of small electronic equipment due to long time use, and to provide the small electronic equipment using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The small hinge 10 comprises a mounting member 11 having a journal portion 11b and adapted to be mounted on one of the first and second casings 1, 2 of the small electronic equipment, a hinge pin part 12 having a tapered portion 12a and pivoted in a journal hole 11c of the journal portion, a supporting member 13 having a storage hole 13a for receiving the hinge pin part while restricting the rotation thereof, and adapted to be mounted on the other of the first and second casings, and an elastic means stored in the storage hole of the supporting member for slidingly energizing the hinge pin part in the direction of pressing the tapered portion into the journal hole.
