A digital broadcasting transceiving system and a signal processing method are provided to generate and transmit a transmitting signal adding base data(known data) in a digital broadcasting transmitter and detect the transmitting signal in a digital broadcasting receiver, thereby improving the receiving ability of the digital broadcasting receiver. A randomizing unit(310) receives and randomizes data streams into which a null byte is inserted at a fixed location. A multiplexer(315) outputs the data streams formed by inserting predetermined base data to the location at which the null byte is inserted among the randomized data streams. An encoding unit encodes the data stream outputted in the multiplexer. A modulation and RF(Radio Frequency)(360) unit alters encoded data, performs the RF conversion of the encoded data, and transmits the converted encoded data.
