PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential magnetoresistive magnetic head of one element type which can materialize high resolution and high manufacturing stability. SOLUTION: A magnetoresistive laminated film 10 is formed by laminating a substrate film 14, an anti-ferromagnetic film 11, a ferromagnetic fixed layer 15, a non-magnetic intermediate layer 12, a soft magnetic free layer 13, a long distance anti-parallel coupling laminated film 17, and a differential soft magnetic free layer 16. In the long distance anti-parallel coupling laminated film 17, the soft magnetic free layer 13 and the differential soft magnetic free layer 16 are exchange-coupled separating by 3 nm to 20 nm in the anti-parallel state. High resolution and high manufacturing stability can be achieved without spoiling GMR effect by manufacturing the differential magnetoresistive magnetic head of one element type using this magnetoresistive laminated film 10.
