PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly manufacture amorphous selenium doped with an extremely fine amount of an alkali metal at high yield. SOLUTION: After producing a mother selenium alloy doped with an alkaline metal of concentration higher than a prescribed concentration in a closed system, the mother selenium alloy and pure selenium alloy are mixed with each other to manufacture amorphous selenium doped with the alkaline metal of the prescribed concentration.
