WASHING METHOD OF CHEMICALLY POLYMERIZED TONER

A method for washing polymerized toner by using an organic solvent is provided to reduce drying time of toner by using an organic solvent as a washing solution in the final washing step, thereby increasing productivity. An acid solution or an alkaline solution is added in a dispersion solution in which emulsion polymerization or suspension polymerization are completed to separate a dispersing agent in toner particles. A toner slurry is dispersed into distilled water and repetitively washed. The toner slurry repetitively washed with the distilled water is washed by the organic solvent or the mixed solvent of the organic solvent and water. Moisture of the toner slurry washed with the organic solvent or the mixed solvent of the organic solvent and water is removed by using a filtering apparatus. The filtered toner cake is dried.
