A chassis comprises of a pair of longitudinal frame members, which are disposed parallel to and spaced from each other. A plurality of transverse supports are connected between and at spaced intervals along the length of the longitudinal members. Attachable lifting stubs made of universal I beam steel may be attached at corner and mid sections of the chassis at predetermined points, slings may then be attached to the stubs by lifting eyes. Preferably a lifting beam allows a crane to lift the unit with control using slings so that it can be transported. Timbers may be fixed to the chassis in order to attach a log cabin them upon. The chassis is preferably placed on a concrete block ring foundation with a damp proof course. Services may be passed through the chassis. In use the chassis supports a portable, pre-fabricated, log cabin. |
