A crushing apparatus is provided to increase crushing power by crushing a great quantity of materials by using four shafts and two pairs of crushing cutters. In a crushing apparatus, hydraulic motors have first driving shafts(2,2a) horizontally installed at a frame. Electric gears(5,5a) are fixed at the first driving shafts of the hydraulic motors and provided with different diameters of a pitch circle. The electric gears comprise first gears(51,51a) having a large pitch circle diameter and second gears(52,52a) having a small pitch circle diameter. First cutters(8,8a) are fixed to second driving shafts(3,3a) installed at one side of the first driving shafts in parallel together with first driving gears(6,6a) engaged with the first gears of the electric gears. Second cutters(9,9a) are fixed to third driving shafts(4,4a) installed at the upper part of the first driving shafts in parallel together with second driving gears(7,7a) engaged with the second gears of the electric gears. The hydraulic motors, the electric gears, and the first and second cutters are arranged symmetrically and both first cutters crush materials.
