To provide a connector that can also be connected to an existing screw type connector, has high connection operability and an integration density, and is easy in maintenance. Therefore, a plug 10 is constructed of a plug body 11, a plug holder 20 and a stopper fitting 30. On the other hand, a socket 40 is constructed of a socket body 41 and a socket holder 50. An insertion portion of the socket body 41 is fitted into a fitting recess of the plug body 11, and engagement projections 33 provided at tip ends of engagement pawls 32 of the stopper fitting 30 are inserted into engagement grooves 52 of the socket holder 50. Further, the plug holder 20 and the socket holder 50 are relatively rotated in opposite directions with respect to each other, whereby the engagement projections 33 are engaged along the engagement grooves 52.
