METHODS OF PRINTING ON MOLDED RESIN AND MOLDED THERMOPLASTIC RESINS

Methods of clear printing on a resin molding by irradiation with a laser; and thermoplastic resin moldings obtained by the methods. (1) One of the methods of printing on a resin molding comprises impregnating a thermoplastic resin molding with carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen and then irradiating it with a laser. (2) The other method of printing on a resin molding comprises molding thermoplastic resin particles impregnated with carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen and irradiating the resultant molding with a laser. (3) One of the thermoplastic resin moldings is one which has been printed by subjecting a surface of a thermoplastic resin molding impregnated with carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen to foaming by laser irradiation. (4) The other thermoplastic resin molding is one obtained by selectively foaming by laser irradiation either a single layer constituted of a thermoplastic resin impregnated with carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen or the inner layer of a multilayer structure including the single layer as an inner layer.
