摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate matter removing method in exhaust gas, capable of removing moisture included in an exhaust system of deteriorating an oxidation catalyst, by oxidizing and burning particulate matter in the exhaust gas, by collecting the particulate matter by filters of carrying a particulate matter burning catalyst for oxidizing and burning the particulate matter. <P>SOLUTION: The filters 1 and 2 of carrying the oxidation catalyst are arranged in the exhaust system. A fuel injection nozzle 3 of raising the exhaust gas temperature is arranged on the upstream side of the filters 1 and 2. The deterioration in the fuel consumption ratio is detected when an operation frequency of the fuel injection nozzle 3 is a predetermined frequency or more. A signal is issued to be replaced with a new filter. An engine is idly and automatically operated for a little time after turning off an engine key.
