THREAD WITHDRAWAL BLADE FOR A SEWING MACHINE

A thread withdrawal blade for a sewing machine is provided to prevent a needle of the sewing machine or an upper thread from being hung on component parts of the sewing machine. A thread withdrawal blade(29) is rotated centering on a vertical shuttle axis in a rotating direction. The thread withdrawal blade comprises a shuttle having a shuttle body in which a bobbin housing is placed. The thread withdrawal blade circles between an initial position and a thread take-up position centering on a circle shaft(30) parallel with the shuttle axis. A thread take-up groove having a cutting blade is provided at a free end portion(32c) of the thread withdrawal blade. The free end portion of the thread withdrawal blade is extended over the thread take-up groove.
