Embodiments of the invention may include receiving a request for a content item; downloading data identifying the content item; and downloading data representing the content item. The content item may be placed after the data identifying the content item. A portion of the data identifying the content item may be rendered at the mobile device before data representing the content item is completely downloaded at the mobile device. Also, a portion of the data representing the content item may be available for use at the mobile device before the data representing the content item is completely downloaded at the mobile device.
