A vehicle search system using a mobile communication service and a method thereof are provided to enable a vehicle search server to transmit a vehicle location request signal, received from the first communication company server, to the second communication company server and transmit vehicle location information, received from the second communication company server, to the first communication company server, thereby more easily realizing the location search system of a vehicle, of which engine is not started up. A vehicle search system comprises the followings: a user terminal(110); a vehicle terminal(170); the first communication company server(120); the second communication company server(150); and a vehicle search server(130). The vehicle search server(130) includes a vehicle matching database(140) including information about matching relations between the first phone number and the second phone number and responds to a request signal, received from the first communication company server(120), and extracts the second phone number by using the vehicle matching database(140), and transmits the second phone number to the second communication company server(150), and transmits location information of a vehicle, received from the second communication company server(150), to the first communication company server(120).
