PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an inkjet printer capable of printing on a printing medium with an arbitrary size and thickness. SOLUTION: In the inkjet printer 1, an inkjet head 8 is supported by an elevating/descending mechanism 7, and the elevating/descending mechanism 7 is supported by a second slider 6 so as to be movable back and forth in the horizontal direction, and the second slider 6 is supported by a first slider 5 so as to be movable back and forth in the horizontal direction intersecting at right angles. A head maintenance unit 4 is installed at a fixed position or under a movable condition. As the inkjet head 8 can be three-dimensionally positioned by driving the sliders 5 and 6 and the elevating/descending mechanism 7 by a controlling part 9, the printing can be performed on an arbitrary surface part with an unevenness on the printing medium with an arbitrary size.
