PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying a substance that is useful for skin care by clarifying the tight junction function of skin, and by utilizing the tight junction function. SOLUTION: A permeable marker is injected into the skin (true skin) of an animal, and the permeable situation through a tight junction section of the diffusion situation of the permeable marker is monitored, thus evaluating the situation of material permeability through a skin tight junction section, and identifying the situation of a barrier function of the skin for utilization to the development of cosmetics having high skin barrier capacity.
