摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrival direction estimation apparatus for estimating the arrival direction of coherent waves with high resolution by using the CUBA-MUSIC method. SOLUTION: A directivity switching means 20 successively supplies control voltage sets CLV1-CLV6 to varactor diodes 11-16 loaded to antenna elements 1-6 in a circular array, and sequentially switches the directivity of an array antenna 10 to six directivities. The array antenna 10 receives a plurality of coherent beams arriving from a range where the azimuth angle ranges from 0 to 90 degrees while switching directivity. A direction estimating means 30 performs the discrete Fourier transform of a reception signal vector <y> received by the array antenna 10 in a range of 0-90 degrees, further computes a correlation matrix for indicating the correlation of a plurality of coherent waves by applying a space average method and a MUSIC method, and estimates the arrival direction of the plurality of coherent waves by performing characteristic value resolution to the computed correlation matrix.
