<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a peak to average power ratio by using a known signal, in a radio communication system and a radio communication apparatus which perform multiplex communication. <P>SOLUTION: The radio communication system and radio communication apparatus are those for performing radio communication by using a multiplex signal comprising data and a known signal such as a pilot signal. The apparatus is provided with a means which combines on a time axis the known signal such as a pilot signal with a signal obtained by processing one or both of the phase and the amplitude of this known signal so as to suppress the peak to average power ratio, so that their periods become predetermined values respectively, and which performs transmission. A receiving side performs a processing of returning the phase or amplitude of the signal obtained by processing the phase or amplitude of the known signal, back to the phase or amplitude of the original known signal, on the basis of the known signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
