<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scan drive section in which the width of a light emission control signal can be set freely, a light emitting display device that uses the same and a drive method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The scan driving section includes a shift register part for generating sampling pulses while successively shifting the start pulses supplied from the outside in correspondence to clock signals, and NOR gates installed for every light emission control line and generating a light emission control signal by combining the two sampling pulses, and NAND gates installed for every scanning line and generating a scanning signal by combining the two sampling pulses.
