PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce occurrence of noise by avoiding collision between mountains of a gear and a rack when the rack of a tray enters and engages with a gear at a place where the gear rotates. SOLUTION: In order to carry in/out the tray (10) to load a disk to a device main body (20), the gear (55) driven by a motor (51) provided in the device main body (20) engages into the rack (11) formed in the tray (10) to drive the tray (10) in a round-trip path from a carry out end to front of a carry in end of the tray (10), the rack (11) detaches from the gear (55) and drive of the tray (10) is switched to another mechanism in a round trip path from the front of the carry in end to a carry in end of the tray (10). The gear (55) is constituted of two components, a drive side gear (60) connected to the motor (51) and a driven side gear (65) to engage into the rack (11) and the driven side gear (65) is installed to the drive side gear (60) coaxially and rotatable for a required angle.
