The method involves already adding a fuel cell stack during actual assembling under ambient temperature. A sealing medium (13) with very small shrinkage is utilized and inserted before the assembly of the fuel cell stack. The sealing medium is inserted, after assembly of the fuel cell stack under positive pressure, in cavities that are provided for receiving the sealing medium in border area of interconnectors.
