PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound barrier excellent in a sound isolation performance and facilitating the construction assembling. SOLUTION: In the sound barrier consisting of a plurality of struts 2 erected in the ground surface at a proper interval and a soundproof panel 1 erected on the struts, the soundproof panel has an interlocking device on the rear of the upper end, the interlocking device 5 is interlocked with an engaging device 4 provided to the upper end to the mount the soundproof panel on the struts 2, and the mounting of the soundproof panel is easily made. The soundproof panel consists of two panels provided to a frame body at a proper interval and a sound absorbing material placed between these two panels, and since a sound incapable of being absorbed by the panel on the side of a sound source is absorbed by the sound absorbing material, an excellent sound isolation effectiveness can be obtained. The panel consists of a base body of a synthetic resin and metal foil stuck on both sides of the base body, and since the panel is firm and light, the construction assembling is easy.
