The invention relates to a digital comb filter, which comprises n filter stages, whereby each filter stage has a retaining member located at the input of the filter stage. Said retaining member doubles the sampling rate by outputting each input data value twice. Each filter stage has a filter structure, the formula H(z) a (1 + z<-1>)<k-1> being applied to the partial transmission function H(z) of said structure. In said formula, k represents the order of the filter device and z<-1> the z-transform of a delay at a sampling pulse. The inventive implementation of said filter does not require an error correction circuit.
