PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film which has abrasion resistance and flaw resistance, can exhibit sufficient adhesion strength with a base material layer and is used for a surface of a building material. SOLUTION: The surface film for the building material has at least three layers. The surface layer (A) is a polypropylene resin which has a melting point of not lower than 140°C, weight average molecular weight of 100,000 to 300,000, an amount of an eluted resin of 0 to 30 wt% at a temperature of not lower than 0°C to not higher than 70°C by a cross fractionation method, and the amount of the eluted resin of 70 to 100 wt% at a temperature of higher than 70°C to not higher than 125°C. The intermediate layer (B) is a polypropylene-based resin which has a melting point of not less than 160°C, weight average molecular weight of 160,000 to 250,000, the amount of the eluted resin of 45 to 55 wt% at a temperature of not lower than 0°C to not higher than 10°C, the amount of the eluted resin of 15 to 25 wt% at a temperature of higher than 10°C to not higher than 70°C, the amount of the eluted resin of 1 to 5 wt% at a temperature of higher than 70°C to not higher than 95°C and the amount of the eluted resin of 25 to 35 wt% at a temperature of higher than 95°C to not higher than 125°C.
