<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a cooling fan capable of mitigating feeling of discomfort given to an occupant by the noise from a battery fan. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid ECU executes a program including a step (S102) of detecting the background noise in a cabin from a vehicle operating state, a step (S106) of determining the fan driving stage number F based on the background noise and the temperature TB of a battery 400 and storing the determined fan driving stage number F, a step (S108) of reading the previous fan driving stage number FL, a step (S112) of setting the stage number FR for determining the response time to the same value as the fan driving stage number F when the fan driving stage number F is larger than the previous fan driving stage number FL (YES in S110), and a step (S116) of determining the response time based on the background noise and the stage number FR for determining the response time.
