PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger superior in heat exchanging performance with a simple structure. SOLUTION: An inflow pipe 8 is mounted near an outlet-side header 2 from which a refrigerant in a casing 7 is discharged, a discharge pipe 9 is mounted near an inlet-side header 1 in which the refrigerant in the casing 7 flows, the external fluid B is allowed to be discharged from the inflow pipe 8 to the discharge pipe 9 through the casing 7 to flow oppositely to the flow of the refrigerant flowing in a tube connected between the inlet-side header 1 and the outlet-side header 2, and a contact area of the external fluid B and the tube 3 is enlarged, thus the heat exchanging efficiency between the fluid A flowing in the tube 3 and the external fluid B is improved.
