PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle type coaxial connector capable of attaining both reduction of the number of parts and assembly man-hour as well as improvement of frequency characteristics. SOLUTION: The coaxial connector 21, to be a connector of a receptacle type, is structured of three component members of an outer housing 24 incorporating an insulator 23 at a rear wall 22, an inner terminal 25 fitted at the center of the insulator 23, and a shield terminal 26 fitted around the insulator 23. In addition, a fixing leg part 26b of the shield terminal 26 is to be of a press-fit structure, and coupling parts 27 for connecting the insulator 23 and the rear wall 22 are formed in almost equal intervals around the insulator 23.
