<p>The invention provides for a moulding that comprises an elongated preformed chipboard or supawood core (4) with a layer of a synthetic plastics material (6) extruded around at least a substantial part thereof. The plastics material (6) is a foamed polystyrene having a composition which includes hi-impact polystyrene and crystal grade polystyrene, the mass ratio of hi-impact polystyrene to the crystal grade polystyrene being between 55 : 45 and 45 : 55. The invention also provides for a method of manufacturing the moulding and to an apparatus for manufacturing the moulding.</p> |
