PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll kneading method and apparatus capable of providing a kneaded material having a stable quality. SOLUTION: The roll kneading method is for repeatedly kneading a kneaded material M kneaded with a pair of kneading rolls 1 and 2 by returning the material M to a bank 6 between the rolls 1 and 2 via conveyors 3, 4 and 5 for kneading back wherein a cutting means 7 to cut the kneaded material M is mounted on the carrying-out side of the conveyor 5 for kneading back, and the kneaded material M is cut by the cutting means 7 to be returned to the bank 6.
