<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of effectively collecting current from an electrode assembly by stably contacting a current collector to the electrode assembly. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes a case 11, a positive electrode plate 21, a negative electrode plate 23 and a separator 13 arranged between the positive electrode plate 21 and the negative electrode plate 23, an electrode assembly 20 mounted in the case 11, a cap assembly 30 airtightly sealing the case 11, a current collector 40 for the positive electrode and a current collector 60 for the negative electrode electrically connected to the positive electrode plate 21 and the negative electrode plate 23 of the electrode assembly 20 respectively, wherein at least one of the current collector 40 for the positive electrode and the current collector 60 for the negative electrode has a plate-shaped main body 41 and a contact portion contacting with the corresponding positive electrode plate 21 or the corresponding negative electrode plate 23 projecting from the main body 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
