Computer system comprises a CD-ROM drive (11) for playing music CDs, a real time timer for preparing a reference time, an audio processor (12) connected to the CD-ROM drive to process music data, a CPU to operate in a normal operating mode and in a current saving mode, a control unit (14) and a current control unit (17) which operates when the CPU is in current saving mode. The control unit (14) determines the audio title on a CD, reads the time from the timer, switches the CPU to current saving mode, controls the CD-ROM drive and the audio processor and switches the CPU to the normal mode when the waking time is reached.
