INK COMPOSITION CONTAINING OPTICALLY VARIABLE HYBRID PIGMENTS

Provided is an optically variable ink composition containing an optically variable hybrid pigment whose color depends on the angle of view which is excellent in economical efficiency and is improved in optically variable effect. The optically variable ink composition contains an optically variable hybrid pigment which comprises 10-90 wt% of a first optically variable pigment where a metal-phthalocyanine colored layer is formed by chemical coating on pearlescent mica; and 10-90 wt% of a second optically variable pigment comprising a multilayered thin film comprising a metal absorbing body, a dielectric substance and a metal reflecting material formed by physical deposition. Preferably the first optically variable pigment is obtained by forming a metal-phthalocyanine colored layer on the metal oxide layer coated on a natural mica or a synthetic mica, shows a gold color, red, blue and green in turn repeatedly according to the increase of optical thickness as a side color and shows blue, blue-green or green as a front color. Preferably the color of the second optically variable pigment is changed according to the thickness of a dielectric substance.
