PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new piperidine derivative having substituent groups in 3,4,5-positions, etc. and having high usefulness as an intermediate capable of readily producing a piperidine derivative having a desired physiologically active property by converting substituent groups introduced into specific positions such as 3,4,5-positions to specific substituent groups and to provide a production method capable of inexpensively obtaining the new piperidine derivative in short steps. SOLUTION: The method for producing the piperidine derivative comprises reacting anα,β-unsaturated amide having specific substituent groups with anα,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound having specific substituent groups in the presence of a reacting agent. The reacting agent is preferably a Lewis acid or a base. The Lewis acid is preferably an alkylsilyl triflate and the base is preferably an alkylamine. The piperidine derivative not having a substituent group in 3-position of a piperidine ring can selectively be obtained by using a prescribed amount of t-butanol. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
