The invention concerns a method for recovering carbon dioxide (CO2) contained in stack effluents, mainly from cement works and /or coal fired power stations and in using all or part thereof to control the very high temperatures generated in a reactor (1) with one or several plasma torches (6), using as plasma gas gases or gas mixtures containing fewer carbon atoms (which may be nil) than oxygen atoms; in using said high temperatures thus generated for pyrolisys of all kinds of waste (3), compacted and dried to obtain a synthetic gas (16) rich in CO, H2, which when passing in a heat recovery system (7) would produce without combustion steam which will be expanded in a steam turbine (21) actuating a power generating alternator (22). The syngas (16) resulting from said waste treatment (3), consisting of carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen (H2), will be purified before extraction of: carbon monoxide transformed into nanotubes; hydrogen which could be stored in nanotubes and used as fuel in vehicles designed to run on gas; nitrogen which could be sold on the market. The resulting gas would then be burnt in a gas-steam turbine plant to produce electricity and the exhaust gases transformed into methanol, by processes described in the present patent application, to be used as combustibles or fuel for future vehicles equipped with fuel cells. |
