<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system surely recovering a fuel electrode from CO poisoning without stopping power generation. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is equipped with an oxidizing agent output port 50 installed in an inlet passage of an oxidizing agent electrode 37a; an oxidizing agent introduction port 51 installed in an inlet passage of the fuel electrode 37; oxidizing agent supply piping 52 communicating the oxidizing agent output port 50 with the oxidizing agent introduction port 51; and an air bleed valve 36 opening and closing the oxidizing agent supply piping 52. A control unit 48 judges whether CO poisoning removal is necessary or not based on voltage and current of a fuel cell, and when air bleed is conducted for removing the CO poisoning, if the pressure of the oxidizing agent outlet port 50 is lower than the pressure of the oxidizing agent introduction port 51, the pressure of the oxidizing agent outlet port 50 is raised than the pressure of the oxidizing agent introduction port 51, and then air bleed valve 36 is opened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
