PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of rotating particles by which loss of the particles or variation of particle sizes generated in association with cutting, heating and spheroidizing is reduced, enhancement of yield when the rotating particles are manufactured and improvement of contrast in display of a sheet type display can be realized, in manufacture of the rotating particles used for the sheet type display wherein display is performed by rotating the rotating particles in a sheet in which the rotation particles having at least two surface regions having colors different from each other and a gap filled with a translucent liquid existing at the circumference thereof are dispersed. SOLUTION: The rotating particles are manufactured by a first step for forming resin pieces consisting of resins having colors different from each other and coming into contact with each other in a line on a resin piece placing sheet, a second step for lowering adhesive force between the resin piece placing sheet and the resin pieces, a third step for peeling the resin pieces from the resin piece placing sheet and a step for forming the rotating particles by heating and spheroidizing the resin pieces.
