PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assuredly and simply mounting a filter to the end of a buried side in which a drain pipe is buried in the ground. SOLUTION: The diameter reduced filter 1 is initially inserted and fixed to the end of a mounting insert pipe 11. Then, the end of the mounting insert pipe to which the filter 1 is fixed is inserted from an outer opening 71 of the drain pipe 7 and pushed to the opening end 72 of the buried side. Then, while the filter 1 fixed to the inside diameter side of the end of the insert pipe 11 is located in the vicinity of the opening end 72 of the buried side of the drain pipe 7, the bottom wall of the filter 1 is struck by a rod material 17 inserted from the outer opening 71 of the drain pipe. Thus, the filter 1 is detached from the insert pipe 11 and restored from its diameter reduced state and mounted at the end of the opening end of the buried side of the drain pipe 7.
