The material of the wire (13), etc., is applied to a flat substrate, which comprises at least one edge defined by adjacent and slightly mutually tilted faces (11) such that the applied material is movable over the substrate faces until it reaches the edge. The material, reaching the edge settles onto further material arrived on the edge. Preferably, the material, reaching the edge, can be moved along the edge. The substrate is typically a laminated crystal and the process is carried out in vacuum, or an inert atmosphere. Independent claims are included for a wire or network produced by the network and for its use in opto-electronic components. |
