PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial heart pump in inside of which thrombus is prevented from being caused. SOLUTION: This artificial heart pump is equipped with a blood pass 1 to flow blood and a drive mechanism 12 to drive rotation of an impeller equipped in the blood pass 1. The rotation drive mechanism 12 is filled with body fluid and is housed in a closed vessel 6. A hollow yarn filter made by bundling hollow yarn is equipped on a downstream side of the impeller 2 to filter blood. The body fluid is collected into a fluid collecting part 21 and is filled up into the closed vessel 6 of the drive mechanism 12. Excess body fluid in the closed vessel 6 is discharged into blood on an upstream side of the impeller 2 from the seal part tip end 16 of a drive shaft 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
