PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist apparatus for a lift for hanging objects for stage performance to be added to an existent manual lift for the hanging object for realizing the respective merits of manual and motor-driven types. SOLUTION: In an assist apparatus 20 to be added to the lift for the hanging object for stage performance equipped with a string-shaped object 3 for hanging a baton 1 as a hanging object on its one end, a first pulley 5 on which the string-shaped object 3 is conditioned, a counter weight 6 mounted on the other end of the string-shaped object 3, a second pulley 10 and a string-shaped object 11 for manual operation to be conditioned on this second pulley 10 for moving up and down the baton 1 as the hanging object by mounting its one terminal part onto the counter weight 6 and moving up and down the counter weight 6 by manually operating the other terminal side, the apparatus is equipped with a rotary wheel 23 to be abutted to the first pulley 5, a motor 21 for rotating this rotary wheel 23 in a direction for moving up or down the counter weight 6, a switch part 15 and a control part 30 for controlling the motor 21.
