摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module that can greatly reduce packaging space, and can be compactly composed. SOLUTION: Light that is emitted backward from a semiconductor laser element 1 becomes parallel light by a lens 2 for transmitting through a filter 31. The filter 31 has a wavelength selection region 316 that has different transmissivity depending on the wavelength of incident light and a wavelength- selective function, and a through hole 310 formed in the region. Light receiving elements 4 and 5 have a photoelectric conversion function, and generates a photoelectric current according to the quantity of received light. Light that transmits the wavelength selection region 316 other than the through hole 310 of the filter 31 enters the light receiving element 4, and light passing through the through hole 310 enters the light receiving element 5. Each of variation in the wavelength of light that is emitted from the semiconductor laser element 1 and variation of light output is detected by monitoring the amount of photoelectric current that is generated by the light receiving elements 4 and 5.
