PURPOSE: A method for managing subscriber state information of a mobile communication system is provided to prevent link information of all visiting subscribers from being lost, even after system restart or temporary suspension, thereby enabling delivery of incoming packets and performing packet transmission of a mobile station without errors. CONSTITUTION: If a packet service node, such as a PDSN/GGSN(Packet Data Serving Node/Gateway GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) Support Node) and a PCF/SGSN(Packet Control Function/Serving GPRS Support Node), is restarted after temporary service suspension(21), a restart message of the packet service node is transmitted to a BSC/RNC(Base Station Controller/Radio Network Controller) by using an ID of a corresponding node/gateway as a parameter(22). The BSC/RNC transmits a broadcast message to notify restart of the corresponding node/gateway to a BTS(Base Transceiver Station)/node B(23). The node B/gateway transmits a broadcast message to notify packet link reset of a packet MS according to the restart of the corresponding node/gateway(24). The MS receives the message notifying the restart of the node/gateway servicing the MS itself, and re-attempts packet link setup or registration for a corresponding packet service immediately or within a time slot(25), to recover and maintain a packet link between the MS, the PCF and the PDSN(26). |
