ELECTROMAGNETIC COIL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce eddy current loss and improve reliability in insulation to the earth in a radiation-proof electromagnetic coil which is wound using a strand conductor insulated by laterally winding a prepreg. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises a step for laterally winding the prepreg in which a polyimide resin is impregnated in a glass fiber tape constituted of a boron-free glass fiber, a step for forming a coil by winding the strand on which a prepreg is laterally wound for insulation, a step for impregnating the coil with a polyimide resin mixed with a mineral powder and applying a hardening treatment, and a step for laterally winding the prepreg on the periphery of the coil having finished the hardening treatment of the polyimide to reinforce insulation to the earth.
