PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone which enables a power source for a radio part to be automatically switched on, even if the user forgets to switch on the power source for the radio part, after cutting off the power for the radio part. SOLUTION: This telephone is equipped with a means for inputting the designated time, a means for cutting off a power source for the radio part, and a means for switching on the cut-off power for the radio part, when the designated time is over. Or this is equipped with a means for inputting the designated period, a means for cutting off the power for the radio part, and a means for switching on the cut-off power for the radio part, when the specified period passes after cut off of the power for the radio part.
