PURPOSE: A multi-light forming method and an optical pickup device using the same are provided to simplify the manufacturing of a dual beam splitter or a saw tooth type grating and simplify the control between the multiple light. CONSTITUTION: A multi-light forming method includes the steps of generating a first beam(I) by reflecting light from a light source(10) against a first reflecting layer formed with a first reflecting surface(105a) of a first reflectivity while transmitting remaining light, reflecting the transmitted light against a second reflecting surface(110a) of a second reflectivity, and splitting the reflecting light into a plurality of beams by transmission or reflection via the second reflecting surface and the first reflecting surface, wherein the first reflectivity is smaller than 0.5 and the second reflectivity is larger than 0.5.
